Purpose:It is applicable to the determination of falling ball resilience of soft foam polymer materials.

Principle:

1. A steel ball with a certain quality and diameter is dropped from a fixed height onto the surface of the specimen, and the height of the steel ball's bounce is measured to calculate the percentage of the ratio of the bounce height to the drop height.

2. The machine is controlled by a microprocessor, with a Chinese LCD display and the ability to print test data.

According to the standard:Standards: ASTM D3574 and ISO8307:2007 (Soft foam polymer material - Determination of rebound performance by falling ball method), GB/T6670-2008 (Determination of rebound performance by falling ball method of soft foam polymer material).

Experimental steps:
Place the adjusted sample horizontally on the test position of the rebound instrument, and make the drop height of the steel ball bottom from the fixed position to the foam plastic surface 460mm through adjustment. Fix the steel ball on the release device and allow it to fall freely. Perform three rebounds on each sample and take the maximum value from the three rebounds. Each rebound of the steel ball should fall onto the same position on the surface of the specimen, and the time interval between two rebounds should be controlled within 20 seconds. If the steel ball touches or pops out of the measuring device during the rebound process, the obtained data is invalid and needs to be re made.
